WHITE WASH

I THINK I COULD LIVE IN THE SOUTHPrior to this, when anyone said 'whitewash' I thought of Tom Sawyer whitewashing Aunt Polly's fence.Whitewash, or calcimine, kalsomine, calsomine, or lime paint is a low-cost type of paint made from slaked lime (calcium hydroxide) and chalk (whiting). (Wikipedia)

CURB APPEAL

UPDATE FOR OUTSIDE

So you have probably heard a lot about curb appeal in terms of selling your home - making it inviting, welcoming, well maintained.... etc., etc.    But its also the first impression visitors have of YOU when they come to your home - when you are NOT selling - when you are living there.  What does your home say about you?

COLORS GO COASTAL

BLUE UNDERTONES WITHOUT BEING OVERTLY BLUE....

Undertones are tricky beasts.  For example, grays are nothing but undertones - except for the pure concrete colors - it is what makes them beautiful and versatile.  Sometimes the undertone shows up more strongly than we like.  A blue undertone, for example, may be too blue on the walls.  Or is it?  Wall color, especially in an empty room, will

Hi Claudine,

I follow your blog and love your ideas.  My husband and I

USING A PAINT FAN DECK

FINDING YOUR UNDERTONES

There are thousands and thousands of grays.  From the beige grays to the blue grays, if you can see the undertone, you can pick your perfect color.....

Hi Claudine, thanks so much for your blog!. I have a generic question: Is there a logical way to use color fan decks to find similar colors... other than just looking through the fan. For example, I have Caramels"
